Softball Recap: Caston Comets vs. Logansport Berries
After flying high against Eastern last Tuesday, Caston came back down to earth. The Caston Comets took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Logansport Berries on Thursday. Caston was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Logansport apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Isabel Scales was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
On Logansport's side, Aracyn Good was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Adrienne Scott was another key contributor, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Caston's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Logansport, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caston will take on Knox at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Logansport, they will be playing at home against South Bend St. Joseph at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Logansport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
