The Fredericksburg V Victory will head out to challenge the Immanuel Christian na on Thursday. Fredericksburg V is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
While Fredericksburg V's victory against James River HomeSchool wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Victory sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Eagles on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Victory.
Char Yates III spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jackson Niesent was excellent, going 1-for-4 with four stolen bases and one run. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Garrett Shires, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Immanuel Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past Quantico 9-2 on Monday. The na might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by seven runs or more this season.
Daniel Klapmust and Caleb Fiala made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Klapmust struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Meanwhile, Fiala tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Immanuel Christian is 3-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 2-3 otherwise. At the plate, Klapmust went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Fiala went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Immanuel Christian let Isaac Pinkley and Clayton Miller run wild. Pinkley went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run, while Miller went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Shumate, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Immanuel Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Immanuel Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Fredericksburg V, their record now sits at 10-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Fredericksburg V has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Immanuel Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
