Soccer Game Preview: Akins vs. Lehman

The Akins Eagles will face off against the Lehman Lobos at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lehman took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Akins, who comes in off a win.

Akins proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Hutto 2-1. Akins wouldn't have won without Thomas Smith, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Lehman fell victim to Del Valle and their airtight defense on Friday. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 3-0.

Akins now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Lehman, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Akins skirted past Lehman 2-1 in their previous matchup back in January of 2025. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Lobos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
