Abington and East Bridgewater are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Green Wave will face off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Abington is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.

Abington will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Rockland, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Green Wave put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 32-7 win on Thursday. Given the Green Wave's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts football rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 136th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, East Bridgewater ended up a good deal behind Middleborough last Friday and lost 45-26.

East Bridgewater's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Abington, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything went Abington's way against East Bridgewater in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Abington made off with a 34-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Green Wave since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
