Baseball Recap: Tahoma Has No Trouble Against Kennedy Catholic

Tahoma made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kennedy Catholic, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bears were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Lancers on Wednesday. That looming 8-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bears yet this season.

At the plate, Beckett Turnbow and Trey Davies did most of the damage at the plate: Turnbow scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Davies scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1. Those three runs gave Davies a new career-high. Jacob Lee was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

The win (which was Tahoma's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Kennedy Catholic, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lancers beat Tahoma by a score of 13-5 on Thursday.
