Basketball Recap: Braymer Takes a Loss

Braymer lost against Green City back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Braymer Bobcats were beaten by the Green City Gophers 64-24.

Green City's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaryn Hatcher, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards. Hatcher is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Jeffries, who went 9 of 18 on her way to 21 points along with five assists and three steals.

Braymer's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Green City, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Braymer won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Meadville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Green City, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Atlanta at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
