Basketball Recap: Georgiana Jolley's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Firth over South Fremont

After flying high against West Side last Wednesday, Firth came back down to earth. The Firth Cougars received a blow on Friday as they fell 56-38 to the South Fremont Cougars. Firth has struggled against South Fremont recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Firth's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Georgiana Jolley, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelbie Perry, who earned ten points.

Firth's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for South Fremont, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Firth is taking a road trip to square off against Salmon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Fremont, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Twin Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Fremont is facing Twin Falls at the right time seeing as Twin Falls is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
