Recap: Kent School Lions vs. Lawrenceville School Big Red
This season hasn't been kind to The Kent School Lions, who are still winless after their fifth match. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 40-14 walloping at the hands of Lawrenceville School on Saturday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kent School in their matchups with Lawrenceville School: they've now lost three in a row.
Kent School's loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 5.9 points per game. As for Lawrenceville School, the win was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kent School will square off against Taft School at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Taft School comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 12 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Lawrenceville School, they will head out on the road to face off against Hotchkiss School at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hotchkiss School is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
