Softball Recap: Beavercreek Takes a Loss

Beavercreek was the 3-0 winner over Springboro when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Beavers took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Monday. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Beavercreek saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alainey Townsley, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Beavercreek's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Springboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Springboro will be playing at home against Hamilton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beavercreek will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' contest: after the Panthers face off against the Big Blue, they'll take on Beavercreek again at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
