Soccer Game Preview: Columbia vs. South Atlanta

The Columbia Eagles will head out to face off against the South Atlanta Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Columbia's offense. They came up short against Drew Charter on Thursday, falling 5-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, South Atlanta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 6-1 to Salem. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

South Atlanta's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Columbia, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Columbia took their win against South Atlanta when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 5-2. Will Columbia repeat their success, or does South Atlanta have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
