Football Recap: Weiss Wolves vs. Hays Hawks

Despite the loss, Hays saw an underclassman step up: Gabriel Peach rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Peach really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run.
The victory (which was Weiss' fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. As for Hays, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Weiss will venture away from home to face off against Lockhart at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Weiss' favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups. As for Hays, they will be playing in front of their home fans against College Station at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. College Station will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Hays surely won't give up without a fight.
