Northwest is on a six-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Timber Creek a seven-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The Northwest Texans will be playing at home against the Timber Creek Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Northwest has given up an average of 35.8 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northwest is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Trinity on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Texans were dealt a 53-14 loss at the hands of the Trojans. The Texans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-7.

Despite the defeat, Northwest got top-tier performance from Stephen Momo, who rushed for 123 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Timber Creek and V.R. Eaton, and Timber Creek kept the tradition alive. The Falcons managed a 13-8 win over the Eagles on Friday.

Timber Creek's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Northwest, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
