Booker T. Washington had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 9-19 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Edison Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted since April 3rd.

As for Edison, they moved to 20-13 with that loss, which also ended their 12-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Edison's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Linken Frank, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Booker T. Washington will square off against Metro Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Edison, they will face off against Catoosa at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.48 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
