Volleyball Recap: Smith Center Redmen vs. Concordia Panthers
Smith Center was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Concordia Panthers. The Redmen were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17.
Concordia can attribute much of their success to Baylen Arnold, who had three digs and 22 assists. Arnold is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 17 or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season.
Smith Center's loss dropped their record down to 9-17. As for Concordia, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Smith Center will be playing at home against Hoxie on Saturday. Concordia has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Nemaha Central on the 5th.
