Recap: Pikes Peak Christian Eagles vs. Hanover Hornets
After a string of four wins, the Pikes Peak Christian Eagles's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Hanover by a score of 34-32. Pikes Peak Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hanover apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Pikes Peak Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sarah Harris. Despite the final result, she scored a point along with 11 steals and eight rebounds. Harris is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Pikes Peak Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Hanover, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pikes Peak Christian will challenge Elbert at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hanover, they will head out on the road to take on Kim/Branson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
