Volleyball Game Preview: Riverside-Durham Pirates vs. Orange Panthers

The Riverside-Durham Pirates will square off against the Orange Panthers at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Riverside-Durham took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Jordan.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 15-25, 26-24, 26-24.

Riverside-Durham found their leader in sophomore Jacob Feller, who had seven digs and two aces.

Meanwhile, Orange beat Apex Friendship 3-1 on Thursday.

Orange had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.

Orange now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Riverside-Durham, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
