Football Recap: Moody Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Moody's offense. They had to suffer through a 54-0 loss at the hands of the Bremond Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Bearcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1084th, while the Tigers are ranked 451st).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bremond to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sam Kasowski, who threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Those 320 passing yards gave Kasowski a new career-high. Xavier Clark handled things on the ground, rushing for 93 yards and a rushing touchdown.

This is the second loss in a row for Moody and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Bremond, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Moody will take on Milano at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bremond, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mart at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. The game will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
