A Season-Best Effort from Aaron Silva Leads La Puente over Ganesha
La Puente was led to victory by Aaron Silva, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Silva rushed for 268 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (117.3). Those 268 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
If the past is any indication, Silva could be in store for another big game when he takes on Bassett on Thursday. When Silva last faced the Olympians back in October of 2023, he picked up 85 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 75 yards.

Ezekeil Zamora Goes Supernova in La Puente Win
La Puente picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ezekeil Zamora. Zamora was dynamite, rushing for 103 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 137 yards and a touchdown. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2023.
Unfortunately for Ganesha, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Zamora. When Zamora last faced the Giants back in October of 2023, he threw for 362 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Aguirre Came Up Big in Duarte's 26-12 Victory
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Leo Aguirre stepped things up a notch to give Duarte the 'W'. Nobody could stop Aguirre as he rushed for 127 yards on only 14 carries.
Duarte pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Aguirre and Duarte will challenge Workman at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Avenn Ortiz Makes It Two for Duarte
Keeping Aguirre company is Avenn Ortiz, a fellow Duarte player. He threw for 146 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 67 yards.
For the year, Ortiz has thrown 15 touchdowns while averaging 268.3 passing yards per game.

La Puente Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Ivan Lopez
La Puente picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Ivan Lopez. Lopez was unstoppable, picking up 56 receiving yards.
On the year, Lopez has averaged 105.8 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 38.83 receiving yards per game.
