Baseball Recap: Jasper Comes Up Short

Jasper lost against Miller back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 8-2 to the Cardinals. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jasper saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Treyton Ritchhart, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Miller, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

Jasper and Miller should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Eagles will take on Crane at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (228 vs. 465). Meanwhile, Miller (ranked 167th) will meet Reeds Spring (ranked 348th) at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
