Recap: Jensen Beach Falcons vs. Westwood Panthers
There's no place like home for the Jensen Beach Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They took their matchup at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 50-17 victory over Westwood. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jensen Beach also won the last time the pair played last Monday.
Leading Jensen Beach to victory were Lizzie Fitzwater and Danielle Bell. Fitzwater scored 13 points, while Bell scored 12 points. Abby Fitzwater was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Westwood still got an impressive performance from Jihla Greer, who scored 6 points. Greer scored a full 35.3% of Westwood's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
The victory got Jensen Beach back to even at 2-2. As for Westwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Jensen Beach will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cardinal Newman at 6:30 p.m. As for Westwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
