Football Game Preview: Caledonia Fighting Scots vs. Rockford Rams + How To Watch

Caledonia hasn't had much luck against Rockford recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Fighting Scots will face off against the Rams at 7:00 p.m. Caledonia has given up an average of 28 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Caledonia easily dispatched Grand Haven last Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Fighting Scots fell just short of West Ottawa by a score of 33-30 on Friday.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Rockford against Jenison on Friday as the squad secured a 38-7 win. Given the Rams' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Wildcats are ranked 81st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rockford pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 36.7 points this season. As for Caledonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Caledonia came up short against Rockford in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 27-14. Can the Fighting Scots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
