Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeside). They came out on top against the Ballard Beavers by a score of 70-63 on Friday. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 61-51 win the Beavers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Lakeside's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5. As for Ballard, they moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside will venture away from home to square off against Cleveland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakeside is facing Cleveland at the right time seeing as Cleveland is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Ballard, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Woodinville at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Woodinville has won three straight at home, while Ballard won three straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
