Centennial is 2-8 against Reservoir since March of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the 'Gators at 4:15 p.m. Centennial is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10 runs per game this season.

Centennial will bounce into Friday's game after beating Marriotts Ridge, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Eagles put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 9-2 win on Thursday. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three contests in a row.

Lauren Jensen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, Layla Schroyer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Bella Leider, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

Centennial kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Reservoir fell victim to Howard and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Lions. 'Gators fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Lions since Wednesday.

Reservoir's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
