Basketball Recap: Imlay City Takes a Loss

Imlay City lost against Croswell-Lexington back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Imlay City Spartans fell just short of the Croswell-Lexington Pioneers by a score of 55-53.

When it comes to explaining why Imlay City lost, don't look at Addison Cameron. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 18 points and 17 boards. With that strong performance, Cameron is now averaging an impressive 9.2 rebounds per game. Another player making a difference was Alexa Lengemann, who posted nine points along with eight boards and five steals.

Even though they lost, Imlay City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Imlay City's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Croswell-Lexington, their record now sits at 11-6.

Imlay City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-41 victory against North Branch on the 21st. As for Croswell-Lexington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-28 win against Almont on the 20th.
