League recap: Edmond Santa Fe surprises Southmoore

Edmond Santa Fe scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Southmoore, 53-37. At the time, the SaberCats was ranked 17th in the state, while the Wolves was 108th.

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Southmoore, who took down 17th ranked Southmoore, 53-37.

A'enon Hines was the most productive running back in 6A District 4 this week. He ran for 162 yards on 12 carries as Norman bested Putnam City West. Teammate Zach Long added to the ground attack by rushing for 150 yards.

Tre Edwards threw for 179 yards and two touchdowns. He was 11-28 with three interceptions.

Jonah Llanusa provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Yellowjackets defeated the Patriots. He completed 12 passes for 174 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 54 yards. Llanusa's favorite target this week was Barber, who caught eight passes for 155 yards.

Thanks to the talents of Edwards and Karltrell Henderson Jeff Brickman's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Edwards leads the league in passing with 874 yards, while Henderson has rushed for 521 yards this season. Choctaw's Barber leads the league in receiving yards with 411 on 21 catches.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Richard Tuberville's team takes on Lawton. The Yellowjackets are currently in seventh, while the Wolverines are in first.

Hines of the Tigers ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Mustang last week.
