Lakeview gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They walked away with a 62-51 victory over the Boone Central Cardinals. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.

Lakeview had a senior duo take command as Blake Rathbone shot 78% from the field to rack up 21 points and Grayson Vogt went 6-for-8 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Sloup, who posted nine points.

Lakeview has already played their next matchup, a 56-50 victory against Arlington on the 6th. As for Boone Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-52 win against Cedar Catholic on the 5th.
