Baseball Recap: Lincoln Academy Takes a Loss

Lincoln Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 8-5 to the Morse Shipbuilders. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly three runs.

Lincoln Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Sanborn, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Ernest Poland was another, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

Lincoln Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Morse, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Lincoln Academy will challenge rival Leavitt at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Morse is set to square off against their familiar foe Erskine Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
