Softball Recap: Eastern's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Eastern had lost five games straight , but after bumping their record up to 15-10 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Male Bulldogs 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since April 14th.

As for Male, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-6. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by just one run.

For Male's part, Kaden Nelson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run. Nelson also scored a run, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mya Green, who went 1-for-4 with two runs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastern will host Larue County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Male, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Hardin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
