Severance came tearing into Saturday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Wellington Eagles as they made off with an 11-1 win. The Silver Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Dom Rice, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Domanick Estrella-Torres, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Severance always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wellington only posted an OBP of .391.

Severance's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Wellington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.

Severance will have a chance to go back-to-back against Wellington: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
