A big part of Bishop Union's win came down to the chemistry between Emory Dondero and his top target Carlos Sualez. Dondero threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes while Sualez picked up 124 receiving yards and three scores. What's more, Dondero racked up 39 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Woodlake against Chowchilla on Friday as the team secured a 42-13 victory. Considering the Tigers have won nine matchups by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Bishop Union better keep an eye on Aldo Rodriguez. He was instrumental in Woodlake's win, rushing for 160 yards and one TD on only ten carries, while also throwing for 208 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes. Rodriguez's longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Aidan Perez was in the mix as well, providing Woodlake with two scores.

One reason for the win was Woodlake's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Jose Rodriguez with two.
