Baseball Game Preview: Eastern Quakers vs. Mason Bulldogs

Eastern hasn't had much luck against Mason recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Quakers will face off against the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. This will be Eastern's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Eastern is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game dating back to last season last Friday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 17-10 to Potterville, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Mason strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on Marshall with a sharp 9-2 win.

Joey Schild was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Ball, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Eastern's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Mason, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Eastern suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Mason in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Quakers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
