While West End's win against Glencoe wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Yellowjackets on Friday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

West End's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Emma Franklin, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

West End's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Glencoe, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Coming up, West End will face off against Valley Head at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Patriots are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Glencoe, they will challenge Cedar Bluff at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
