Basketball Game Preview: Stevenson Pirates vs. Seaside Spartans

Stevenson and Seaside are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Stevenson Pirates will venture away from home to take on the Seaside Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Stevenson will be strutting in after a win while Seaside will be coming in after a loss.

Stevenson took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They strolled past Marina with points to spare, taking the game 60-45.

Meanwhile, Seaside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against Hollister, falling 87-21. The match marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Seaside's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Stevenson, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Stevenson came up short against Seaside when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 65-54. Can Stevenson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
