Recap: Sequoyah Chiefs vs. Rome Wolves

The Sequoyah Chiefs entered their tilt with the Rome Wolves with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Sequoyah snuck past the Wolves with a 55-50 win on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sequoyah also won the last time the pair played on January 5th.

Sequoyah's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sayler Davies led the charge by scoring ten points along with four steals. Davies is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Ghorley, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.

Sequoyah's win bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Rome, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-6.

Sequoyah will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Etowah focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for Rome, they will head out on the road to square off against the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
