After a string of 11 wins, Aquinas Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 87-80 to the Nazareth Prep Saints. The Crusaders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saints apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

It was another big night for Will Evans Jr, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten boards for Nazareth Prep. The contest was Evans Jr's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Leon Harrison Jr. was another key player, going 6 of 15 en route to 20 points along with six assists and five rebounds.

Aquinas Academy's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 11-2. As for Nazareth Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Aquinas Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 72-53 win against St. Joseph on the 17th. Nazareth Prep has also already played their next game, a 61-58 defeat against Serra Catholic on the 17th.
