Recap: Orangewood Christian Rams vs. Faith Christian Lions
The Orangewood Christian Rams suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 75-46 loss at the hands of Faith Christian.
Despite the loss, Orangewood Christian still got an impressive performance from Roby McClarnon, who scored 18 points. McClarnon has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Barber, who scored nine points.
Faith Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ben Cox led the charge by scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds. Jaelen Spellman was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Orangewood Christian has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. As for Faith Christian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.
Orangewood Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Trinity Prep is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Legacy Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Legacy Charter has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
