Basketball Game Preview: Orr Spartans vs. Willows Academy Eagles

The Orr Spartans will square off against the Willows Academy Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Orr is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Chicago Marshall by a score of 45-33.

Orr can attribute much of their success to Nia Crawford, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards, and Carmani Sharkey, who posted 17 points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. Sharkey's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Ja'Una Williams, who scored two points along with seven boards and seven steals.

Willows Academy meant business on Tuesday, getting buckets from all over the court against a Wildcats squad that has allowed just 28.16 points per contest. Willows Academy blew past Manley, posting a 77-21 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 21 games by 21 points or more this season.

Willows Academy's win bumped their record up to 25-8. As for Orr, their victory bumped their record up to 22-5.
