Football Recap: Morgan County Piles Up the Points Against Westside + How To Watch

Morgan County barely beat Westside the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs blew past the Seminoles 56-14 on Friday. Fans of the Bulldogs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Morgan County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Christian Monfort out in front who rushed for 130 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. Monfort is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Ty Tillery was in the mix as well, providing Morgan County with two touchdowns.

Morgan County's run defense was locked in: Westside could only muster -0.4 yards per carry. While two picked up at least one total tackle, Tillery stood above the rest. He picked up 114 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Morgan County didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.7.

Morgan County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Makai Owens.
