Football Recap: Morgan County Piles Up the Points Against Westside + How To Watch

Morgan County barely beat Westside the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 56-14 win over the Seminoles. Fans of the Bulldogs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Morgan County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Christian Monfort, who rushed for 130 yards and two scores on only 12 carries, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. Monfort is crushing it when it comes to rushing touchdowns: he's punched in at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Another passer making a difference was Davis Strickland, who threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Morgan County proved: they limited Westside to a paltry -0.4 yards per carry. The Bulldogs didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.7.

Although Westside took the loss, they still got scores from Tyleik Flint and Jayden Williams.

The win keeps Morgan County at an undefeated 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 50.2 points this season. As for Westside, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
