Basketball Recap: Norwood Comes Up Short

On Sunday, the Norwood Mustangs lost to the Westport Wildcats at home by a 48-33 margin. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Mustangs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked ninth, while the Wildcats are ranked 97th).

Norwood's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Westport, they pushed their record up to 11-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Coming up, Norwood will face off against Bishop Feehan at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Westport, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Bishop Stang at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
