Hackett had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Subiaco Academy Trojans an 18-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 19-1 back in March.

Hackett's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Subiaco Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hackett will challenge Mansfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Subiaco Academy, they will take on Scranton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
