Football Game Preview: Yorktown Wildcats vs. Agua Dulce Longhorns + How To Watch

The Yorktown Wildcats will face off against the Agua Dulce Longhorns at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Yorktown has given up an average of 30.4 points per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Yorktown is headed into Thursday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They took a blow against Shiner on Friday, falling 61-12. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 634th, while the Comanches are ranked 157th).

Although Yorktown took the loss, they still got scores from Matthew Olguin and Brayden Knostman.

Meanwhile, Agua Dulce suffered their biggest loss since November 1, 2024 on Thursday. They were dealt a 68-37 defeat at the hands of La Villa. While the Longhorns had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Cardinals 16-6.

Yorktown's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Agua Dulce, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3.

Everything came up roses for Yorktown against Agua Dulce in their previous meeting back in September of 2021, as the squad secured a 56-6 victory. In that contest, the Wildcats amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
