Softball Recap: Aztec Takes a Loss

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Aztec was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They lost 9-2 to the Murrieta Mesa Rams. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Aztec saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cami Lucio, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Kayci Phillips also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Aztec's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Murrieta Mesa, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1.

Aztec wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 10-2 defeat against Coronado on the 8th. As for Murrieta Mesa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Salpointe Catholic on the 7th.
