Brandywine had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 34 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-38 win over the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Maroon Giants are ranked 160th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brandywine's victory bumped their record up to 20-1. As for Kalamazoo Central, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Coming up, Brandywine will challenge Norrix at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a six-game losing streak. Kalamazoo Central will be paying especially close attention to Brandywine's contest: after Brandywine faces off against Norrix, they'll take on Kalamazoo Central again at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
