Baseball Recap: Aspire Langston Hughes Academy Takes a Loss

Aspire Langston Hughes Academy lost against River Islands last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans came up short against the Riptide, falling 23-11. Even if the Titans couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Aspire Langston Hughes Academy is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. As for River Islands, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Aspire Langston Hughes Academy will venture away from home to face off against Stockton Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The Titans are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for River Islands, they are taking a road trip to square off against Turlock Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Riptide's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
