Football Recap: Kenton Comes Up Short

Kenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Wapakoneta Redskins 37-6. Having soared to a lofty 42 points in the game before, the Wildcats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Xavier Gammon threw for 206 yards while completing 83.3% of his passes. Maddux McFarlin was his top target, picking up 73 receiving yards.

Kenton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Wapakoneta, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Kenton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 35-26 loss against Memorial on the 17th. As for Wapakoneta, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-10 victory against Elida on the 17th.
