Volleyball Recap: Veterans Comes Up Short

The Veterans Warhawks came up short against the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings on Thursday and fell 2-0. The Warhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rebekah Fletcher paced Veterans' offense, picking up seven kills. Fletcher got some help from Grace Lamontagne and her nine assists. Lamontagne was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Veterans' loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-2 record this season.

Veterans will head out on the road to square off against First Presbyterian Day at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they have already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Northside on the 28th.
