Mescalero Apache came into Thursday's matchup having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Capitan Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Chiefs: when they faced off against the Tigers back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 20-25, 25-17.

Mescalero Apache's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-17. As for Capitan, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Coincidentally, Mescalero Apache and Capitan will both be playing Lordsburg the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Mavericks at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Chiefs will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
