Casa Grande's JaJuan Lawson rumbled for the longest rushing play in North Bay this season in his game against Montgomery last week. Lawson's team bested the Vikings as he sprinted for 89 yards on the play and finished with 188 in all.

Rancho Cotate scaled the state rankings by moving to 277 from 383 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Cougars climbed the ranks as a result of beating Windsor 43-14.

Casa Grande's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Lawson threw for 118 yards and Cody Hughson had 47 yards receiving. On the ground Lawson chipped in 188 yards. Miles Gardea helped Casa Grande's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 33 yards.

Hughson was the best wideout in the league this week as Trent Herzog's team topped Montgomery. Hughson racked up 2 receptions for 47 yards. Gardea helped Casa Grande's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 33 yards.

Casa Grande's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Gauchos feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Lawson has thrown for 687 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Zakk Molina has 11 catches for 169 yards.

Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Gauchos' Molina goes up against Santa Rosa's Alfredo Carretero.

Next week's game between Casa Grande and the Panthers will feature an aerial matchup as Lawson tests his arm against Carretero's defensive ability.

An important game coming up in North Bay this week will be when Cardinal Newman takes on Dean Haskins' team. As it stands, the Cardinals are in fourth, while the Vikings are in third.

There should be lots of points scored when the Gauchos and Santa Rosa face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Casa Grande comes in having scored 130 this season, while Dave Duncan's team has scored 75. The Gauchos scored 30 points last week as they defeated Montgomery.

Casa Grande added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Vikings, 30-12. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
