Volleyball Recap: Athens Snags Fifth Win in Last Six Games

It's playoff time, and Athens had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Shamokin Area Indians by a score of 3-1 on Monday. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Indians walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Ellie Mosher paced Athens' offense, picking up 17 kills. Mosher got some help from Meg Wiles and her 27 assists. Mosher was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Athens has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-12-1 record this season. As for Shamokin Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

As of now, neither Athens nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
