Volleyball Recap: Somerset Prep Comes Up Short

Somerset Prep lost against Northwestern back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Somerset Prep fell just short of Northwestern by a score of 3-2. While Somerset Prep didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Northwestern 25-16 in the first set.

Somerset Prep took Northwestern into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking seven-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-17, 25-17, 19-25, 15-8.

This is the second loss in a row for Somerset Prep and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Northwestern, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Somerset Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Avant Garde Academy on the 6th. As for Northwestern, they are taking a road trip to challenge Central at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
